Super Mobile Highly Reflective HR-TFT LCDs provide brilliant, vivid images outdoors (where it tends to be bright), but their visibility indoors is poor (where ambient light levels are lower). Sharp has solved this problem by developing the unique Advanced TFT LCD [Dual Mode Transflective Display], a new type of display that provides HR-TFT functionality in brightly lit locations and functions as a backlit transmissive LCD in dimmer environments. This "all-around" display delivers excellent performance anywhere, anytime.

Sharp has now developed a new High Transmission Advanced TFT LCD with significantly improved transmission.
